Making a terrible situation even worse, Donald Trump defended his actions of assassinating Iran’s top General Qasem Soleimani by calling him a “terrorist leader” and declaring that “Iran has been nothing but problems for many years” before threatening further attacks if retaliation is exacted.

In reaction to this stoking of an already burning inferno, Iranian MP Abolfazl Abutorabi responded by uttering threats of attacks on American soil, including the White House.
“We can attack the White House itself, we can respond to them on the American soil. We have the power, and God willing we will respond in an appropriate time,” Abutorabi said according to the UK publication, which cited Iranian news agency ILNA.–Fox News.
The threats were reported by the Independent UK who confirmed getting their information directly from the Iranian news agency ILNA.
This marks the third official threat from Iranian officials after those of Ayatollah Khamenei and President Rouhani who have both sworn revenge for the US’s “terrorist,” “heinous crime.”
The hardline lawmaker urged Iran “should crush America’s teeth” in response to a question on whether and how the Islamic Republic would react to the US assassination of Qassem Soleimani, in a furious parliamentary session held on Sunday.
“This is a declaration of war, which means if you hesitate you lose,” Mr Abutorabi added. “When someone declares war do you want to respond to the bullets with flowers? They will shoot you in the head.”–Independent UK.
While they say attacks are unlikely, nevertheless the US Department of Homeland Security has issued warnings, saying they are “operating with an enhanced posture and various operational components are taking protective measures where prudent and necessary.”
Mostly they’re issuing warnings against Iranian cyber attacks:
“Iran maintains a robust cyber program and can execute cyber attacks against the United States. Iran is capable, at a minimum, of carrying out attacks with temporary disruptive effects against critical infrastructure in the United States.”–DHS bulletin as quoted by Heavy.com.
