For a time in the 1980’s, Jeffrey Epstein was dating a Miss Sweden competition champion named Eva Andersson. After their breakup, Andersson would go on to marry Glenn Dubin, billionaire co-founder of the hedge fund Highbrige Capital, and in time she would become Dr. Eva Andersson-Dubin, founder of the Dubin Breast Center of the Tisch Cancer Institute at the Mount Sinai Medical Center.
As Vanity Fair reported in September, the Dubins have been ‘one of Manhattan’s most prominent power couples’ for decades now, and so it shouldn’t be surprising that despite their breakup, Epstein, who said he never spoke to anyone who wasn’t a millionaire, and Eva remained close for years to come, as did Glenn and Epstein, and as Business Insider reported today, these relationships continued on even after Epstein had been convicted of pedophilia in 2008.
Even after Epstein’s conviction in 2008, the couple stayed in contact with the registered sex offender, inviting him to Thanksgiving dinner at their home in Palm Beach the following year. Andersson-Dubin also wrote an email to Epstein’s probation officer, asserting that she was “100% comfortable with Jeffrey Epstein around my children,” who were then all minors. Multiple sources told me last month that Epstein was the godfather to the Dubins’ three children, although a spokesman for Dubin disputed that assertion.–Vanity Fair, 9/4/19.
The fact that Eva Anderssen-Dubin wrote to Epstein’s probation officer saying she trusted him with her children is troubling enough, but I assure you, it will get even more troubling very soon.
To begin with, Glenn Dubin, a former business associate of Epstein as well as a friend, is one of the prominent elites alleged by former teen-sex-slave Virginia Roberts Giuffre to have abused her when she was under Epstein’s confinement.
According to Giuffre’s May 2016 deposition, Dubin was the “first” powerful person that [Epstein recruiter Ghislaine] Maxwell sent her to have sex with “after my training.”
Moreover, According to a 2016 deposition, former chef for the Dubin’s, Rinaldo Rizzo — who traveled and worked for the Dubins in their estates in Palm Beach, Westchester, Gothenburg, Sweden, Manhattan, and Gunnison, Colorado — testified that that in late 2004 or early 2005, he and his wife prepared a supper for the Dubins and their dinner guests — Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and a 15-year-old blonde girl from Sweden they brought with them, whom the Rizzo’s were told was Epstein’s executive personal assistant.
At one point in the night, according to the deposition, the Swedish teen was brought into the kitchen by Eva Dubin and placed on a barstool. After Eva exited, Rizzo said he noticed the girl was visibly ‘distraught’ and ‘upset’ — ‘she was shaking’ and ‘on the verge of crying,’ but didn’t want to talk about why. After some coaxing, she finally broke down and informed Rizzo and his wife that she’d been raped on Epstein’s Caribbean island and was ordered to keep her mouth shut about it. The two married chefs were completely dumbfounded.
But about a month later, according to Rizzo, the Dubins, along with the girl and the Rizzos, were on Dubin’s private jet back to Sweden and the girl was returned home. “We flew to Sweden,” Rizzo said in his deposition, “we stopped at an airport we didn’t usually stop at and she got off the plane.” The Rizzos left the Dubins’ employ in October 2005, following those events, he said in his deposition. “My wife and I had discussed these incidents, and this last one was just, we couldn’t deal with it,” he said.
While the Dubins ‘vehemently’ deny these allegations, their spokesperson was forced to admit they often flew on Epstein’s jets, predominantly between Palm Beach and New York, where both they and Epstein had homes.
Ghislaine Maxwell also hitched a ride on Dubin’s plane, twice, alongside Dubin’s children, on that same route—once in 2004 and again in 2010, after Epstein was a convicted sex offender.
New allegations have arisen in connection with the Epstein and the Dubin family. These ones, reported by Business Insider today, are just as troubling as the ones we just went over.
Apparently Epstein, who was childless, was interested in making one of Glenn and Eva Dubin’s daughters — Celina Dubin, now 24 — one of his heirs through a number of avenues, including marriage, so she could inherit his seemingly limitless fortune, including Little St. James, Epstein’s notorious Caribbean island.
According to Business Insider, in order for Celina to avoid weighty estate taxes when the day came for Epstein’s fortunes to become hers, the plan was for the two of them, godfather and goddaughter — Celina’s mom’s ex-boyfriend — to get married.
In 2014 (six years after his pedophilia conviction), Epstein made Celina the beneficiary of a $50 million trust fund. But for reasons unknown, her name was taken off the fund the next year. It is unknown if Celina has ever received any money from the fund, and despite records seemingly showing evidence to the contrary, a spokesperson for the Dubin family denies, on their behalf, any of the family members seeing Epstein other than in very social situations since his 2007 arrest.
