Insight: The Significance of Tulsi Gabbard Putting Useless Idiot Joy Behar in Her Place

By Danny C. | DCPeriodical | 11/06/19 |

Famous for spewing Democratic establishment indoctrination to millions of at-home American women every morning, the View’s Joy Behar has attracted a lot of attention on social media on a few occasions lately.

Behar Smears Julian Assange

Pamela Anderson defending a barrage of attacks against Julian Assange on the View, September 6, 2019.

In September, when Pamela Anderson was a guest on the View, hosts Megan McCain (John McCain’s daughter) and Behar spent a great deal of time attacking Wikileaks founder (and current victim of torture) Julian Assange, who Anderson, an activist in her own right, is a supporter and friend of.

Anderson handled the situation superbly, and with surprisingly well informed articulation, calmly enlightening the overzealous shills on stage that Assange is a journalist who exposed war crimes for which their has been no culpability, and deserves no punishment for doing so.

Behar, in true propagandist fashion, then pushed the ignorant conspiracy theory that Assange wittingly assisted Russia in winning Donald Trump the 2016 Presidential Election, making Assange responsible for Trump’s presidency.

Anderson correctly rebuffed Behar by pointing out that ‘Hillary Clinton is responsible for Trump.’

This is absolutely right, of course. Assange didn’t work with the Russians. More importantly, documents released by Wikileaks show that Clinton and the Democratic Party schemed, strategized, and meddled in the Republican Primaries to make sure Trump received the nomination, making Clinton, who then lost to Trump, completely responsible with documentation to prove it.

In any case, for grilling Anderson so hard, spreading known establishment disinformation, and cruelly defaming a fellow journalist being illegally held, commentators all over the web rightfully shamed Behar’s behavior.

Behar Calls Tulsi Gabbard a ‘Useful Idiot’

Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin trash Tulsi Gabbard on the View, Oct. 22, 2019.

A little over a month later, Hillary Clinton made the wild allegations on a podcast that both former presidential candidate Jill Stein and current candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) are both Russian assets.

Gabbard, a two-time veteran of the war in the Middle East and a member of several congressional committees, responded with a vicious tweet-storm against Clinton, aptly calling her, among other barbs, the ‘queen of warmongers’ and ‘personification of rot that has sicked the Democratic Party for so long.’ #QueenOfWarmongers was trending within minutes.

For a little background into this fued, Tulsi Gabbard was a rising star and vice-chair of the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 Election. After Gabbard witnessed Clinton and the rest of the DNC collude to cheat Bernie Sanders out of the nomination, she resigned her position.

“Let’s not forget that Tulsi Gabbard was picked out by the Democratic Party establishment and put at the top of the DNC. They thought she was going to be their golden girl, and she got in that position in the DNC and she looked around, and she saw Debbie Wasserman Schultz and other people, Clinton allies, doing stuff they shouldn’t have been doing in their primary, and Tulsi publicly quit and then endorsed Bernie Sanders, and it’s been payback hell ever since.”

-Van Jones of CNN, October 19, 2019.

Van Jones is completely correct. A leaked DNC email from the DNC to Gabbard confirms it. This, and the fact that Gabbard is against establishment championed wars, are the main reasons the Clinton machine (politicians, bots, and media) have been smearing Gabbard since the day she announced her candidacy.

Surprisingly, as is the case with Van Jones, some in the mainstream news actually called Clinton out for asserting such an insane claim, despite the fact they had been waging the same exact smear for months before then. However, many more came to Clinton’s defense and perpetuated the unfounded defamation.

One of those many was Joy Behar. On the View the day after Clinton spewed the lie, Behar took it upon herself to sew more national discontent by backing Clinton and saying Gabbard is an asset of Russia, even if she didn’t realize it.

According to the wise wisdom of Joy Behar, because Gabbard opposes the perpetual regime-change wars America is involved in—which the rest of the establishment fully support—she’s playing right into Russia’s hands, as Russia tends to back governments caught in America’s cross hairs.

Behar, it should be obvious, is a complete shill of the establishment and a warmonger herself, and is unable to comprehend that some people have morals and principles when it comes to war, especially those who have lived through any firsthand, which Gabbard has, and disagree with it regardless of who is for or against it. They have their own reasoning to invoke.

In this pitiful smear, Behar also commits a form of the logical fallacy known as ‘poisoning the well’—ignoring the issues at hand and attacking a person’s character to prove a certain point. In other words, we can’t believe anything that coincides with any of Putin’s beliefs because Putin is a bad man. By that standard of reasoning, if Putin said vegetables were good for you, because he’s an adversary of America, anyone who agreed with him would be a ‘useful idiot’ of Russia for doing so.

This, of course, is illogical, and unfortunately there are a lot of illogical people out there, so Behar and her fellow propagandists in the media often get away with it. Of course when broken down we see this tactic is just a manipulative maneuver to convince Americans that if you disagree with the establishment on any issue, you’re aiding and playing into the hands of their enemies. It’s an excellent way to brainwash an unthinking public.

Fortunately there are a lot of people out there who know how to reason properly, and after Behar inexcusably denigrated Gabbard on live TV—to massive applause from her studio audience—she was rightfully criticized all over social media for the second time in as many months.

Gabbard Destroys Behar on Her Own Show

Tulsi Gabbard flabbergasted by Joy Behar’s ignorance.

Today, Behar made the mistake of showing up to work when Tulsi Gabbard was booked as the guest.

Now, anyone who has been following Gabbard knows that not only is she extremely informed, articulate, and a world class debater with an unfaltering intellect, but she also takes zero shit and stands up for herself no matter who’s attacking her.

This, after all, is the woman who took down front runner Kamala Harris in her first debate by exposing her sinsister corruption as a prosecutor in California, then called out CNN and the NY Times to their face for smearing her as an Assad apologist and Russian asset in her next debate. Then, the greatest accomplishment of them all, she destroyed Hillary Clinton’s seemingly untouchable legacy by showing the world she is a war initiating psychopath—and continues to be.

In short, Behar, an uninformed Clinton shill of the highest degree, never stood a chance against the Hawaiian congresswoman.

How it All Went Down

Gabbard wasted no time, either. Whoopi Goldberg opened the segment by asking her what her thoughts were on the latest developments in President Trump’s impeachment proceedings.

‘The facts are what’s important,’ Gabbard began confidently. ‘We’ll get to that. I want to start with something that I think is also important about facts, because recently on your show here…’ and Behar, knowing where this was going, attempted to jump in to control the conversation, but was unsuccessful.

Gabbard continued, ‘some of you here have accused me of being a “traitor to my country,” a “Russian asset,” a “Trojan horse,” or…’ and Behar attempted to interrupt her again, but stopped talking when Gabbard looked her right in the eyes and said, ‘or a “useful idiot” I think was the term that you used.’

Behar countered with, ‘but that’s a Russian term. They use that,’ as if that helped her case or even made sense.

Gabbard just smiled and continued, ‘I want to let your viewers know exactly who I am—set the record straight. I am a patriot. I love our country. I am a strong and intelligent woman of color, and I have dedicated almost my entire adult life to protecting the safety, security, freedom of all Americans in this country…’

At this point Gabbard was interrupted again, but this time by the audience, who erupted in cheers and heavy applause.

Behar, now visibly squirming in her chair, used this opportunity to jump in with her most pitiful smear tactic to date before Gabbard could continue . ‘I guess we’re getting a little bit far, uh, f-far ahead of ourselves,’ she stammered, ‘but, uh, Franklin Graham finds you refreshing. He doesn’t find me refreshing. Richard Spencer, the white-nationalist leader said he could vote for you. I mean, you’re on Tucker Carlson at least ten times. Why don’t you go on Chris Wallace’s show?’

Gabbard broke out in warranted condescending laughter. ‘This is why I’m here, because you and other people continue to spread these innuendos that have nothing to do with who I am.’

Frantically looking at her notes, Behar then barged in again, settling on ‘well Hillary Clinton started it’ as her defense.

The View then played the clip of Hillary Clinton leveling her ‘Russian asset’ charges, which Gabbard rightly deemed as ‘outrageous.’

‘It’s offensive to me as a soldier, as an American, as a Member of Congress, as a veteran, and frankly, as a woman, to be so demeaned in such a way.’

Behar broke in again to point out Gabbard, in her response to Clinton, had called her ‘the personification of rot’—which was somewhat out of context as she didn’t finish the quote by saying, ‘that has sicked the Democratic Party for so long.’

Regardless, Gabbard explained, ‘I’m pointing to the fact that she has continued this legacy of being the world’s police around the world, that has waged wars costing the lives of thousands of my brothers and sisters in uniform. I’m speaking out against that to change…’

Behar once again rudely interrupted her guest to ask where Gabbard’s ‘evidence of that’ was.

“Are you serious?’ Gabbard questioned in disbelief. ‘Are you serious?’

‘Let’s here it,’ Behar challenged.

‘I served in a war in Iraq, that she championed. She championed a regime-change war in Libya…’

Again Behar interrupted before Gabbard could list the seven wars Clinton relentlessly sold to the American people. ‘Did you not believe in that war?’

‘I believed the lies that were told to us,’ Gabbard answered in reference to the proven lies about ‘weapons of mass destruction’ that were used to push America into killing over a million Iraqis and toppling Saddam Hussein.

‘So did she,’ Behar quipped back with uneasy laughter, causing Gabbard to once again roll her eyes in bewilderment at this woman’s obscenely deluded assertions.

‘It is indisputable to say anything other than the fact that Hillary Clinton, throughout her career, has led with a foreign policy of interventionism, and being the world’s police, going and toppling dictators in other countries, that has caused such destruction and loss of life. I’m against that. I’m running for president to change that. Rather than actually debate me on the issues, she and others are resorting to these smear tactic campaigns seeking to undermine me, smear my character, and [are] sending a message to anyone who dissents, “tow the line, or you too will be smeared.”‘

At this, the audience exploded into cheers even louder than before. Joy Behar was defeated. Yet she pathetically persisted on, again bringing up the fact that Gabbard has gone on Fox News—the Republican’s network of choice—a number of times for interviews—once again using a red herring to present a fallacious argument (ie. Fox News is bad; you went on Fox; you are bad).

Tulsi calmly handled this as well. ‘I go on Tucker Carlson, go on Bret Baier, go on Sean Hannity, go on MSNBC, go on CNN. I am here to speak to every single American in this country about the unifying leadership that I want to bring as president’—at this crowd again broke into applause as Gabbard continued—’not just to speak to those who agree with me, but to speak to those who may disagree with me, recognizing that I’m asking for the opportunity to serve every single person in this country.’ She then looked directly at Behar again. ‘We have to come together for our country and our country’s future.’

After squirming for a second and sputtering out ‘they lie all time’ about Fox, Joy Behar finally shut her mouth as her co-host pointed out she (Behar) had been on Fox News herself a number of times. The rest of the interview was conducted by the rest of the panel, while Behar sat there looking stunned and dejected in the way only people who have just received an absolute intellectual thrashing can look.

It was fantastic!

The Underlying Significance

The View averages just shy of 3 million viewers on television and picks up between 50 thousand to 5.5 million additional views of each segment on Youtube. This beats Fox News, the highest viewed news network in America, by quite a margin and is substantially higher than CNN, MSNBC, ABC News, and CBS News. This, sadly, makes the View one of the biggest sources in the country for Americans (especially women) to get their political information.

Taking this into account, its more than regrettable that the View has been a leading voice for years now in the campaigns to push modern day McCarthyism, neccessity for war in the Middle East, the position that whistleblowers need to be punished for exposing government crimes, and the position that we should all have unfaltering loyalty to the corporate and political establishment. This is detrimental to an informed society.

Tulsi Gabbard’s willingness to go on the View—after being so blatantly tarnished by them—and comprehensively speak the truth to their faces, with poise, effectively debunking their conspiracies to a hearty round of applause from the very audience who applauded them a month ago, is nothing short of monumental.

The ideas Gabbard put forward are points of view the centrist-liberal-class is intentionally starved of. No other candidate or politician dares speak about these things. Now conversations and dialogues within households that otherwise wouldn’t touch these issues, out of pure ignorance to them, will be forced to have them.

Joy Behar has finally been officially exposed as the Clintonite propagandist she is. It was a long time coming. At the very least, a portion of her indoctrinated viewers who used to trust her opinion will never trust it in the same way again; and whenever a disinformation-peddling shill of the establishment gets publicly humiliated for what they do, and whenever truth can celebrate a public victory over the endless cycle of lies oozing from the manipulative mainstream media, we can rest assured in the fact that positive progress was made, and go to bed that night satisfied that today was a good day.
